Golfe de Gascogne
Le Golfe de
Gascogne
Jeudi 17.Day 1.On
Day 2.
Finalement
du bon vent dans l’après midi !
Day 3.
Virement, direction Gijon.
Day 4. On arrive
a 20 h a Gigon, a 2 nœuds.
The Gascogne golf
Thurday 17.Day
1. We manage to leave La Rochelle, after an insane day, trying to get ready, we
are never ready but we got to go.
Day 2.
After a windless night, under engine, the crew is not doing so good, but the
sunrise surrounded by marsouins ( kind of dolphins) is comforting. Finally some
good wind in the afternoon.
Day3 .
Woken up by a close encounter with the whales, a little too close, to both
parties, she got away with a hump, and our propeller is bend. In the evening
the wind picks up to a steady 40 kt. No worries for Vagabonde but the crew is
suffering a little. We tack and plot to go to Gijon
Day 4.
Playful Spanish fishermen! Pretending to be on collision course….
We arrived
at 20h00 in Gijon at 2 knots.!!

Minkia! On our way to Vulcano Island
21/07/14, 14.56 UTC
38°20.207N, 14°28.155E, SOG 7, COG 74°
Third day in Sicilia, the winds are so different in the Med, they come and go, playing with our nerves .
We are making route toward Isola Vulcano the most southern island of the Eoliennes group. Strombli being the most famous, and could be the most ancient light house.
